wasn’t it a good year?
was it filled with talking?
it still moves through my heart, from time to time….

“It was always freezing cold in the house. One day he took me out to the garage and chained me up to a bed. There was be this very sharp knife swinging suspended above me - a very low rent The Pit And The Pendulum moment. The likelihood of it failing down seemed pretty high. It was freezing cold and there was this really large, heavy kitchen knife perilously suspended above me by this single bolt. Then he’d start swinging it. Every time the phone would go, he’d say “Back in a minute.” Then the postman would turn up and he’d have a chat with him, or the dog would show up, and I was just left there…Some of his direction for those scenes was “Start screaming. Keep screaming. Stop screaming.” That was hilarious.” —James Johnston of Gallon Drunk remembers Ken Russell.

i’ve never seen this program!

:gasp: All, or almost all, of it is on Youtube, so that can be rectified! I think the first series is better than the second, but they both have their moments. You can’t say no to something that bred as fantastic a song as “Little Mouse.”

loooooooooooool of course. By the way I watched Wings of Desire and n_n @ a wild Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds appearing.

1)New Year’s resolution:  write Neil Hannon fanfics as there is clearly not enough on the web. Possible plotlines:  Neil goes shopping for a new blazer; Neil goes on a butterfly collecting mission; Neil contemplates the loveliness of his birdlike face.

2)UNNNNNNFFF to the Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds performance in that film (although I actually like the Crime and the City Solution appearance better)!!!!!

#ugh dunno why this showed up funny but oh well

Ah, fanfiction. I love how it runs the gamut from Hobbit adventures featuring Neil Hannon to harrowing sagas on the unspoken yet immense love shared between Nick Cave and Blixa Bargeld.
